Horses

4

We created Horses 4 KiCs to offer a unique approach to promoting wellness for children and most particularly, children being cared for outside of their birth families.

We have designed a program that offers individual and family coaching sessions specifically designed to encourage personal development after trauma and loss.

We are able to connect with young people to develop real skills through tailored Equine Assisted activities that guide them toward self directed progress.  We create the opportunity, promote safety and offer insight and skill development.  The horse offers a safe emotional place and immediate natural feedback.

Children often feel safer and more anchored when interacting with the horse.  It is a powerful healing connection that appears almost magical yet is rooted in science.  Horses naturally promote a sense of calm emotional balance and can even connect in an organic way with those who they work with.

We have experience supporting young people with:

  • FASD

  • Trauma

  • Grief and Loss

  • Anxiety

  • Attachment Disorders
