Hannah McIntyre

EAPD Coach and EFL Facilitator Specialist  Hannah McIntyre completed her coaches certification with EAL Canada, Higher Trails and Equus Alive.  She founded After the Rein Equine Assisted Wellness and is the President of the Board of Directors for With a Twist Ranch.  Hannah has over 12 years experience in human services and rehabilitation and has been involved with horses professionally for nearly 20 years.

Among her equine related roles was her previous position as Volunteer Coordinator and Herd Management Director for a nationally recognized horse rescue society that rehabilitated over 150 horses during Hannah's tenure.  During her time with this organization, Hannah learned that horses are not only our friends but healers as well.  For every horse she saw recover, she saw numerous people experience their own healing.

“Horses are extraordinarily intuitive, sensitive and observant creatures who always seek to exist in harmony and balance. As human beings we tend to gravitate away from this way of being.  Often without intention, we a pulled away from our peace and purpose.  Horses sense this.  They understand our emotions, intentions, character and imbalances better than we do.  They mirror our present state back to us and implore us seek a better way to be.

I do not do the work of healing.  Healing is the product of the horse and human partnership.  I am there to support the exchange, ask the questions and draw attention to the messages the horse is giving that help the person discover their own answers. It is a humbling and powerful process that is utterly unique to each participant."

Hannah is as passionate about people as she is about animals.  Her fondest desire is to see people achieving their dreams, living to their fullest potential and experiencing healing.  Hannah lives on the ranch with her husband, 3 of her 4 children and a multitude of beloved animals.
